The Pantry Café Serves Rich History Along With Its Omelets

This restaurant is a Los Angeles icon. Located in the downtown area, it has been turning out plates of comfort food since it opened in 1924. It is a favorite of both celebrities and locals; Marilyn Monroe dubbed it “the best of the west” and it received a blessing from Pope John Paul II. And the Pantry never closes. Students at the nearby University of Southern California can satisfy a craving for hash browns at 4 a.m.
